Introduction to the Department of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management

At the Higher Education Executive Board Meeting of the Higher Education Council Presidency dated 30.03.2011, in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547 amended by Law No. 2880, it was deemed appropriate to establish the Department of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management within our Faculty.
FUTURE HEALTH PROFESSIONAL EMERGENCY AID AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT
Definition: A person who has received basic knowledge and skills related to the management of disasters and emergencies, organizes preparation and damage reduction activities, can use existing resources correctly under pressure, organizes and manages search, rescue, medical intervention, and medical evacuation operations in the pre-hospital field during the intervention phase, and directs and manages the emergency aid and disaster management and training-related tasks and actions of the institutions they work for.
